Mortgage rates remained unchanged Thursday due to the federal holiday, with markets and lenders closed. Even if they were open, little movement would’ve occurred—rates have only dropped 0.05% over the past three business days.
Top-tier 30-year fixed rates sit around 6.86%, near their lowest since early April. Despite recent headlines, the Fed's latest announcement didn’t impact this rate stability. Even a rate cut (which wasn’t expected) wouldn’t have guaranteed lower mortgage rates.

Services for two unclaimed veterans
Two unclaimed veterans will be laid to rest at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on Monday, June 23.
The community is invited to attend and pay their respects to a U.S. Marine and a U.S. Army veteran who have remained unclaimed by any family or friends.
